Route Overview:
⬤ Starting Point: Sunset Junction (Silver Lake)
The walk begins at the iconic Sunset Junction, a historic hub known for its creative energy, LGBTQ+ activism, and lively atmosphere.
Walkers will head east on Sunset Boulevard, passing trendy cafes, murals, and local businesses.
⬤ Mile 1: Virgil Village & Thai Town
As participants continue east, they’ll enter Virgil Village, an up-and-coming neighborhood with diverse restaurants and street art.
Approaching Western Ave, the route enters Thai Town, the only official Thai Town in the U.S., featuring vibrant markets and cultural landmarks.
⬤ Mile 2: East Hollywood & Little Armenia
The walk moves through East Hollywood, a diverse community home to immigrant and LGBTQ+ communities.
Participants pass Little Armenia, where Armenian bakeries and cultural centers line the streets.
⬤ Finish Line: Sunset Blvd & Serrano Ave
The walk concludes at Serrano Ave, near the heart of East Hollywood.
This area is close to key community centers, making it a meaningful ending point that highlights resilience and diversity.
